Our story so far…
Founded by two guys named Gavin in 2010, Wingate Hughes quickly became the fastest growing architecture firm in the DC region. Our growth was fueled by the relationships we developed and our passion for working closely with our clients to achieve results beyond their expectations.
Wingate Hughes planted our flag firmly in the High Growth Entrepreneurial Sector early in the firm’s history. At this time in DC’s history, most home-grown tech was too small to attract much attention from the broader real estate market. We knew what that felt like and embarked on a campaign to let all of clients regardless of size were worthy of great design and that we knew great design had an impact on their bottom line. We work everyday to be their for our clients before they need us. Our consulting on real estate growth and expansion in the tech sector became, and remains, highly sought after.
In early 2014, Gavin Daniels began work with the DC Economic Partnership and the DC Deputy Mayor’s office to create the first Tech Brand Ambassador program for DC. This program found regular folks like Gavin who had a passion for the city we lived and worked in to represent DC to the world. South by Southwest (SXSW) Tech Sector was changed forever when DC arrived on the scene with their Tech Brand Ambassadors . This lead directly to unprecedented growth in the Tech Sector in DC.
In 2020, Wingate Hughes proudly welcomed Kerri Bouie, to the ranks of partner and owner. Kerri represents the values of our company and for over 6 years had worked tirelessly to get better every day compared to no one but herself the day before. Kerri’s passion for great design coupled with positive and inspiring relationship development made her an obvious choice for Partner. Wingate Hughes is a better place to work as a direct result of Kerri’s leadership.
