Pre-requisite: Demonstrates familiarity with design process and learns from both successes and failures. Demonstrates proven ability to perform all tasks assigned to Junior Designers successfully under direction.
Skills /Knowledge
• Can participate on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Experience in designing, detailing and construction
• Strong code understanding
• Strong communication skills
• Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD
Responsibilities
• Reviews, understands and follows firm procedures
• Understands and implements office standards as directed
• Interprets client needs and determines actions required under supervision
• Develops relationships with key clients, brokers, landlords and general contractors with assistance and guidance.
• Drafts client programs and space plans for review
• Demonstrates familiarity with and develops understanding of creating and managing basic project schedules and budgets
• Demonstrates consistent improvement in quickly generating multiple viable design approaches
• Develops construction documents and design presentations for review
• Understands building code and prepares code analysis for review
• Contributes to design conceptualization and external communication
• Drafts notes and specifications for review
• Develops design and technical solutions under supervision
• Performs development and coordination of all FF&E
• Schedules necessary internal and external team meetings and prepares agendas
• Participates in construction administration and attends on-site visits during construction
Experience
• 1-5 years experience in Interiors projects. Experience in corporate interiors or hospitality is preferred
• Bachelors degree from accredited Architecture or Interiors program

• Mentors Staff and Junior Designers in coordination with Associate
• Assists with implementation of office standards
• Interprets client needs and determines actions required in coordination with Associate
• Develops and maintains relationships with key clients, brokers, landlords and general contractors
• Demonstrates competence in understanding, creating and managing basic project schedules and budgets
• Demonstrates consistent improvement in quickly generating multiple viable design approaches
• Leads design conceptualization and external communication, including design presentations as directed
• Prepares and maintains client programs
• Demonstrates competence with building codes
• Supervises development and coordination of all FF&E
• Leads construction administration; supervises, directs and supplements Staff Designers as needed
Experience
• 6-10 years experience in Interiors projects. Experience in corporate interiors or hospitality is preferred
• Bachelors degree from accredited Architecture or Interiors program
