JAB Holding Company is a privately held group that specializes in long-term investments in premium global brands. Wingate Hughes collaborated with JAB to design their Washington, DC office. The downtown space reflects the sophisticated taste of JAB’s client brands and a fashion-forward edge toward European style.
Take a Look at JAB’s Luminescent Office
JAB’s luxury, neutral finishes are effortlessly chic alongside the International Klein Blue mid-century Swan chairs and sofa, the accent walls, and center recessed-feature ceiling. All three recessed ceilings are rimmed with cove lighting.
The intricately detailed Flos accent pendant lights hang above the Tuohy white backpainted glass conference table. JAB’s partners utilize this communal space for the majority of the work day, and the table is fully wired for power, telephone, and internet. This shared workspace flows into the open-concept pantry, featuring knife-edge, magenta accented millwork high-top table, cabinetry and reception shelving.
The custom millwork shelving displays JAB’s investment brands and products.
The Haworth demountable, glass wall system (left), with enclose and compose panels, frames JAB’s closed offices and features custom film graphics. The two private conference rooms, one located directly beside reception, utilizes SwitchLite Privacy Glass. The glass, made of liquid crystal, turns clear when you turn the power on and opaque when the power is off.
Also shown, Eames aluminum group chairs add a graceful silhouette to the conference table.
Ease, openness, and luxury finishes typify JAB’s design. High-end finishes, like the 7-inch-wide white oak hardwood floors, come to life along the sun-lit Haworth demountable system. Tuohy walnut veneer casegoods outfit the private offices, and Masland area rugs bring complimentary texture to the space.
