The Honorable Mayor Muriel Bowser broke ground on Howard University’s Inclusive Innovation Hub Wednesday, March 8. Wingate Hughes Architects is proud to be the architecture firm responsible for designing such an inspiring space. The Howard Innovation Hub will be the country’s first inclusive innovation incubator for the underserved tech community. The Hub is a collective effort to support D.C.’s vibrant entrepreneurial tech community, and the incubator will become the national standard on how to support the underserved tech community.

The groundbreaking comes ahead of WDCEP’s WeDC SXSW initiative. Gavin, along with Mayor Bowser and District officials, is attending SXSW to meet with national tech leaders to promote economic opportunities in the District.
