Eastern Foundry Coworking Panel

The Eastern Foundry Coworking Panel is the first event of its kind for the incubator/accelerator and will take place live on Eastern Foundry’s Facebook feed Wednesday, February 1 at 12pm. The roundtable will feature expert advice from thought leaders in the office design, coworking and business fields.

Panelists will discuss topics like: the benefits of coworking, how to brand your space, finding your coworking style, operating more effectively in a shared environment, necessary items for your coworking office, benefits and amenities that make coworking awesome, choosing your coworking company, office design recommendations, and growing with your coworking space. The event will also showcase a virtual tour of Eastern Foundry’s new Rosslyn location.

Meet our panelists:


Gavin Wingate Bowie, AIA, ASID, LEED AP, is a founding co-principal of Wingate Hughes with over 18 years of architectural and interior design experience. Gavin is responsible for the tempo and high-level administration of the office and arranges the communication between clients and design teams. His strategic guidance and studio leadership direct Wingate Hughes’ impeccable work, and he maximizes value for clients by ensuring the firm’s extraordinary designs are both achievable and affordable. Gavin leads the charge with Wingate Hughes’ relationship-drive design philosophy and prompts design teams to uphold the firm’s high standards for great, original work.

Andrew Chang is co-founder and managing partner of Eastern Foundry where he assists startups around the country in tackling federal procurement market challenges. He is a frequent speaker and contributor to publications such as the Federal Times, Federal Technology Weekly, Fox News Channel and Defense One. He is also an active angel investor in early stage technology companies. Andrew comes from an iIntelligence and cybersecurity background including stints as a counter-intelligence company commander in the US Army, lead for cybersecurity and intelligence at venture-backed cybersecurity firm Endgame, and as a consultant to cyber-analytics firm Novetta.

Andy O’Brien, a senior vice president in JLL’s Washington, DC office, is a member of the accounts and markets team. In addition to his work in representing the interests of tenants, Andy also helps JLL evaluate advances in technology and how it can be used to better serve clients. He is the co-founder of the HiRise, an online transactional marketplace for owners and occupiers that powers business growth using a deconstructed approach to the traditional leasing process. Andy also leads the High Growth Services Practice Group for the Americas which advises clients in real estate growth strategies and was the lead real estate advisor for the Startup America Partnership, a White House initiative created to give high growth companies the resources they need to succeed.

Mike LaRosa is the founder and publisher of Coworkaholic Omnimedia and is a consultant and speaker on coworking and social/shared workspace focused projects. Coworkaholic.com is a new media company, dedicated to all things shared workspace. The mission is to be a source of news, stories, and inspiration. In addition to this, Mike is fascinated with creating dynamic and engaging sponsored content, programs and products paired with innovative marketing campaigns.

Amina Elgouacem, founder, president, and CEO of NEOSTEK, Inc., manages a diverse technology platform that provides expertise in the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical systems at the departments of State, Justice and Homeland Security, and the Library of Congress. Amina recognizes challenge as an opportunity to do something greater and is a member of Eastern Foundry. She spends free time mentoring other Eastern Foundry small business members.
