Owners and childhood best friends Pia Carusone and Rachel Gardner opened their storefront in May 2016 and make a point to weave simplicity throughout their business. This translates into a simple distillation process, unpretentious bottle designs, easy cocktail recipes, and transparent marketing.
One Eight Distilling’s co-founders and former college roommates Sandy Wood, also CEO, and Alex Laufer, head distiller, wake up every day with a shared passion to be the DC distillery that produces the finest spirits from grain to glass in the district.
